Play Date with Brookelle

A week or so ago one of Matthew's longtime friends was down from Utah so we went to go see her and her little Girl Brookelle. Kathryn and Brookelle got along pretty good, most of the time. Brookelle is 21 months and has no hair. It was fun to see the difference in the way they both looked cause Kathryn has an over abundance of hair and Brookelle didn't have any. I think she totally looks like her daddy Josh. It was fun to visit with Danny and let the little girls play. I'm sorry we didn't get to stay and visit longer. Happy April Fools Day!

So I love this Holiday but I don't do much or don't think of cool things to do until it is to late. So I looked online of some things I could do to Matthew but didn't find any that I could do from home but I saw this post it note one that I did on our cousins car. i wrote on post it notes
Happy April Fools Day and then put that on their windshield along with a bunch of others all over the windshield. They have little boys so I'm sure they got a kick out of it.

I told Matthew I was pregnant today but no one believes that... Twins no less.


I hope someone got a good prank going Today. If you did I'd love to hear about it.

Sick, Sick, Sick

So last week was a long week of sickness.
Sick #1 Matthew has had a cough for months and it got a lot worse a few weeks back and so he asked me to get him a doctors appointment. Which is something to say since he hasn't been to the doctor for like 10 years. Anyway I get him an appointment last Monday and we find out that he has Asthma, and was given two different inhalers and some other medication. He says he's feeling much better, or that the urge to cough isn't as strong anymore.

Sick #2 Then Kathryn throws up on Monday night and the next day has a temperature all day Tuesday and Wednesday of 101.5. She is cranky and doesn't sleep well at all and by Tuesday I was starting to feel a little sick myself so the lack of sleep and getting sick don't mix well anyway I'll stay with Kathryn till I finish her sick story. So I have Matt's cousin check her ears on Wednesday to make sure she doesn't have an ear infection and that goodness she doesn't but by Friday she is now coughing a lot more and a runny nose and still not sleeping well so I take her in to see her Doctor late Friday. She does have an ear infection now in the Right ear and needs to start her respirator again. So now she's got an antibiotic for the ear infection. But on Sunday she/we are still feeling yucky and I check her mouth to see if it's teeth related as well and low and behold my baby is cutting molars. She's got 2 lower molars bulging out her gums and then later that day I feel them again and feel the top as well and that dang girl has two top molars already poking out. I didn't even know she was getting her big teeth. She's growing way to fast. So now She's got the 4 in front and two molars on top already out, and 4 in front and two almost ready to poke out on the bottom. My baby is growing up.

Sick #3 Then I am sick this last week to. I start feeling it around Monday/ Tuesday with just a cough. A BAD Cough, So I get some cough medicine and I hope that works but with Kathryn sick I don't get any sleep, So the sickness gets worse I get all stuffed up on Wednesday night and Thursday I'm like the walking dead. I take some of the most awful stuff in the world and I don't recommend it to anyone and I should write the company and complain cause I take the Zicam Nasal spray and I swear it caused the sinus infection I got. My Ears as still a little blocked from it. I can't smell anything anymore, which also means I can't really taste anything. I went into see the doctor Friday and got some antibiotics and my cold/sinus infection is now gone with the occasional runny nose but I still can't hear right and my nose has still lost all sense of smell.

But Come Monday morning this week, Kathryn slept through the night had has for the last 3 nights. I'm 90% better besides the smelling, tasting thing and Matthew breaths better all around.

Its no fun being sick when Kathryn is. I felt really bad because I got kinda I don't know how to say it 'really annoyed' at her faster then usual. I knew I needed help when I got her up and was already mad that she woke up AGAIN. So thank goodness for my dad being home and able to watch her so I could get some much needed sleep. That was a life saver. I'm so grateful for family that is all around me that helps me so much when ever I need it.

Kathryns Photo Shoot

I got the CD of some of the pictures that Liz took of Kathryn. She is such a cutie. Well I said earlier that Kathryn was all serious the whole time but I guess Liz was fast at the draw cause she got a few with Kathryn smiling!

Ok so everytime I want to add pictures I can't. So this will have to wait till Matt gets home to show me how to make these pictures smaller. I hope that is it cause these pictures are the cutest of my baby!

Mary Kay Party

I would like to invite all who want to be pampered for a night of rest and relaxation. We're having a girls night in of the best Mary Kay products you can find. Kathryn Update and lots of pics

Isn't she a cutie. I love this dress, it goes with her pretty blue eyes!
We went to the Ostrich festival last Saturday. We didn't see any Ostriches but we did get to see pig races, amature boxing, some motorcyle acrobats, and a demolition derby. The place was packed but it was a fun time. Kathryn really liked the pig races.
This one is at the demolition derby. It was getting to be that time for Kathryn. I want to be on the ground running around or in my soft bed. Take your pick mom!

This is kathryn's Cousin Chloe. We went to her Chorus concert. She sang the song from My Best friends Wedding, It was so cute. Kathryn did great at the concert too. Not a peep. She just danced to the music and liked getting into the seats that closed up on her.
The other day we went to the part cause it was windy to fly a kite. It was a lot of fun. Kathryn loves to swing and go down the slides.

Another drawer that Kathryn likes to get in to. This is in the Kitchen. I'm glad I don't have much in that one.
Kathryn was a model for an awesome photographer Liz Farnsworth. Liz wanted to get some good pictures of kids and families of what colors look good in pictures. Kathryn was so serious the whole time. I hope Liz got some good photoes. Her business is called Red Bucket Photography. You should all look her up!
This is the newest purchase for Kathryn. She loves to sit in this one and swing her legs. She also loves to push it around the house.

I love this dress. Makes me think she is a red, white and blue baby. and it goes so well with her rosy cheeks.
This is the softest blanket. Kathryns Aunt Melissa got it for kathryn on her 1st birthday. Kathryn loves to lay on it and just run her hands across it and feel how soft it is.
I like to take Kathryn on walks around the temple. I get some great pictures there. She liked getting on this bench.
I was working in the yard the other day and thought I would put on a hat. When I went in to get Kathryn from her nap she was like 'what is on your head' So I had to get another one out and put it on Kathryn. Isn't this the cutest picture!

Below is another place Kathryn likes to climb into. Kathryns 2nd cousins once removed. I'm 1st cousins with these boys Grandparents. So kathryn is 2nd cousins straigt across with the boys parents. Its awesome having such a huge family. Heatons rock!

I just love this face. Kathryn doesn't stick out her tongue as much anymore so this is awesome to get a good picture everyonce and a while as a reminder.

Kathryn's favorite, most softest teddy bear ever. Her Aunt Melissa also got her this for her birthday. Its bigger then her but she loves it.

So I know its been way to long since I added pictures of my cutie pie. I've got some great ones coming.

Not much going on here. I want to do this foreign exchange thing but I can't seem to get myself to open my mouth and ask. I actually found out that my neighbors had 2-3 come and stay with them for a summer. So I just need to open my mouth.

Kathryn is getting to be my little climber. I catch her on the couch, in her stroller, and at my parents she's learned to push a few chairs around and in the right place to get on the table. She hasn't gotten onto my table yet... Thank Heavens! She loves to get into drawers, cupboards, the tub. Really anywhere small and confined she likes to see if she can wiggle her way in. Her 5th tooth decided to show it self this week. Finally another tooth. Maybe the next 5 will come much faster then these ones.

Education Travel Culture

I just got trained to be a Community Coordinator with Education, Travel, and Culture, ETC. Education, Travel & Culture (ETC) is a Pacific Northwest-based non-profit organization providing inbound and outbound international exchange opportunities for high school students.

I'm really excited to start finding host families and placing students. This company really impressed me with all the credentials it has. It is fully listed with the CSIET Council on Standards for International Education and Travel. The Executive Director likes to know each of the students they bring over by name. I like that they keep it on a personal level even with their corporate staff.

If you are interested in being a host family please let me know. They are time restraints and availablity at schools. The student has to go to the high school in which you live. I can place a student anywhere in the US, so don't think this if for you if you don't live in the AZ valley! Students come with comprehensive medical insurance. Families are volunteers and are not expected to pay for student expenses. Students are responsible for their own personal expenses including school activity charges, class fees, clothes, travel expenses, entertainment, bus passes, long distance phone charges, and lunches purchased at school.


This organization has three different lengths of time you can have a student. 5 months for one semester, 10 months for one school year, or one Calendar year if you want a Korean student. They also have a short 2 week one in the summer.

1 Year Stats

So here it is. Kathryn's one year appointment was a success!

The Doctor is always impressed with how well behaved Kathryn is. And how she's growing. He also reminds me of how blessed I am that I get to stay home with her and that she's only had to go see him on One sick visit her entire first year. I am blessed. I love that I get to be home with my baby girl. Oh wait my Little Toddler.

She is now 22 pounds and 30 Inches tall. Both in the 50-75%. A perfect little girl!

WE love her so much!I have some fun picutes to come soon. She's having fun getting into small places and laying down. its kinda funny!

1st Birthday

So My little baby is One year's old. I can't believe it. It doesn't seem like she's been with us that long and at the same time I don't remember her not being here. We had a great party with family at our house last Saturday and she got to have her own cake. Matt thought that was the weirdest thing but its a tradition I want to keep.

She's grown so much. from being my little tiny baby to my big and ever growing toddler.
Born Feb 8th at 1:30 in the morning 6 lbs 7 ozs and 20 1/4" tall
14 days later she is 6lbs 14ozs and still 20 1/4" tall
2 months old 10lbs 7ozs and 22" tall
4 months old 14lbs 9ozs and 25" tall
6 months old 17lbs 11 ozs and 26 3/4" tall
9 months old 20lbs 1 oz and 28" tall

I'll find out on Thrusday her 1 year stats. I can't believe how big she's gotten. It's so fun the things I see her doing each day. She knows which book has the Lion and Monkeys in it. She imitates our sounds. She loves on the big bear Melissa got her for her birthday. and Loves to lay down on the blanket she got too. She has a lot of dollies now and she loves to hug them after I've hugged them. She got a pop up toy that I once closed with the cute kangaroo she got from Rachel , bouncing up and down and now that's how she wants them closed. She remembers a lot. I try to hide something from her and that doesn't work as she remembers where my hands go and try's to look for them.

She still only has 4 teeth, 2 on top and 2 on bottom. So I have a hard time thinking of things to feed her other then her baby food which she doesn't always like to eat. She hasn't tried to climb out of her crib yet which I am grateful. She is so much of a mover and a goer that that would definetly be a bad thing. She climbs into the tub by her self now too.

I love my little Kathryn Olivia. Thank you all who have helped me in raising her and being there for questions and showing your love for my baby. I'm sure she will love getting to know each of you as time goes by and she realizes how much she is loved by the many family members around her.
