Knot-tee, i mean homemade shirts!

My sisters, mom and I got together this week to make some fun tee shirts look fancy! Yes we like Fancy Nancy... Anyway Rachel did the dirty work and found all these fun tee- shirt tutorials for some fun shirts. These are the two that I made. My mom made some fun ones too but I didn't get pictures. I made a little pink tie shirt for kathryn so we can match. I didn't get a picture of that either. Soon , I'm going to make a little onsie of the same material for Charlotte so we can match. Anyway the brown shirt was from the Tea Rose Home. It was super easy to make and it looks really nice on.

This one is called the knottee one. It was fun to make. I fixed the sleeve so it doesn't look so funny. Anyway I really like this one it came from the Brassy Apple.

Joanna works better with her tongue out!

Check them out if you want. The ones I did were super easy and they look really nice. Some of the others will have to wait until I get to VA I can't be having a ton of clothes to take back with me.

Isn't he the cutest little, big boy you've ever seen.

(VA - Family) = Boredom. (Boredom + Camera) = Videos!

Sorry it is so shaky, but it was handheld and zoomed in all the way (it's kind of hard to get close to squirrels without zooming (or food...)). Also my tripod is in transit from AZ to VA

I purchased one of those digital picture frames today. The cool thing about this one is it can loop through video as well as photos. It will allow me to make a nice table piece if I ever get a booth to do some more wedding videos.

Charlotte Update- medically speaking

Charlotte has had her shunt for a whole month now. They put an adult sized shunt in so that if all goes as I plan she won't need a replacement ever!!! He put enough tubing in the abdomen so as she grows it grows too. So far we've had no problems with it. I think our neuro has had us come back in more times then usual because we're moving but other then that it looks great and the scab behind her ear that the neuro was worried about last visit came off and the skin underneath looks great. Her head has stopped growing exponentially on the growth chart and is just growing all around at a good pace. I'll bet she's close to 10 lbs now but we'll see at her 2 month check up on Tuesday. That's another doctor that has seen us a lot since he knows we're moving. I love my pediatrician I'm so sad to leave him. I just hope who ever we get in VA is just as good!

We are still on a 3-5 hour cathing system. She's sleeping longer at night and will let her sleep instead of waking her up for a cath. But she's not gone longer then 5 hours so I think that will be fine. I still give her the ditropan to help strengthen her bladder. I found the reason why the nurses at the hospital for her shunt surgery weren't getting much pee out. I wasn't giving her the ditropan then and she was just leaking all the time and the ditropan helps strengthen the bladder so it can hold more longer. This will be a really good thing when she's older and in school so she won't have to wear a diaper all the time. I'm getting to be a pro at cathing her and I've also taught my mom to do it and she's even taken a feeding and change in the night a few times for me. ( how do single parents survive)

Our Ortho isn't my favorite guy. But she is out of the hip brace and well I took the advice of some of you on here and I didn't have it on her all the time like he had prescribed in the beginning. I did like every other diaper change or not on outings. and her hips are fine! He still thinks she'll probably walk and we're just loving the cuddling we get right now. I'm surely not ready for two little girls getting into things yet!

Those are the three main areas that she's affected right now. I"m sure as she gets older and starts eating other food we'll have to start worrying about bowel problems that I've just recently learned can cause shunt problems if she gets to backed up.

Anyway she's still my little miracle baby and Kathryn is so sweet with her. I think I saw a little protectivety of her today. Also if anyone asks her about her sister she always replies with "my baby Charlotte". I love the way she says her name. So cute! I'll have to get it recorded to share with you all as its adorable!

Baby/Little Girl, Face, Hands and Feet

It seems I've been taking a lot of pictures of just Kathryn Lately. And well it is that way. Charlotte is a cutie pie but either I'm holding her or she's laying in the bouncy seat or sleeping in her bed. I'll for sure be better at taking pictures of both my girls when I'm gone.

Kathryn likes it when I get my camera out. well Most of the time. She gets really camera shy sometimes. This time I wanted to get some close ups of Charlottes little hands and feet so I had to get some of Kathryn as well.

Cute baby face above
Cute little girl face below!

Cute baby feet and Kathryn foot. So cute as well!

My sun bathing beach bum

Kathryn Loves, I mean Loves the water! She could spend all day playing in the water if it weren't for those darn bugs that keep climbing up her legs and freaking her out. I'm sure if I had her in swim lessons she'd be a beach bum for sure with the bleach blonde hair and dark tan.

Isn't that just a sweet picture. I love it that she's sitting on the edge so daintily.

This is her attempt to water the tree. Not quite close enough but she's trying right!

Dress up's at Grandpa Turley's

When I was a kid we'd go to my grandma and grandpa Turley's every Sunday for dessert and DRESS ups. They had a kids room that had a whole bunch of dress up clothes in it. I don't remember going but My Grandpa would take us kids down to DI to pick out dress up clothes. We would put on little parades and plays and we'd each get turns presenting who was coming out next! It was so much fun!

I guess it's my dads turn to start that tradition. He's taken Rachel's kids down to Goodwill, it is closer then DI. I hope he gets to take Kathryn down for the fun before we leave even though it will stay here Just the going to pick them out will be fun for me to tell her about if she forgets.
I love this little hat that Rory and Paige picked out. and this shirt well it cracks me up. I'll have to get her to put on the other dress ups they got and get some more pictures. These are the fun clothes cause it's silky. and the hat well it's just so cute.
Kathryn is such a ham. trying to pose for the pictures. well to tell you the truth I was trying to get her to pose for the pictures and I wasn't very successful. We had fun though.

Kathryn really likes to look at the picture after I take it. The glory of a digital camera. What did we do without them!
